Bird's Eye View of Liverpool In 1886
This is a magnificent colour bird's eye view of Liverpool from the Mersey in 1886, showing the then-new public buildings, at the time of Queen Victoria's visit to the Liverpool Exhibition. Features include the Albert Dock, St. George's Hall, Lime Street Station. Many buildings, such as St Lukes Church would be lost from this view after the German bombing of the Second World War, however neww iconic buildings would soon grace the landascape such as the Liver Buildings and the Anglican Cathedral
